General Canby Day
"Christmas in July"
2010

Chuck and Susie Voss have lived in Canby for over 30 years. They met on August 3, 1975 at a dance. It was love at first sight. They were engaged later that year and married on February 14, 1976. The couple recently celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. They have 2 children and one 10 year old granddaughter, who volunteers with her grandparents.
Suzy has been the head cook at the Canby Adult Center for 22 years. Chuck has worked at the paper mill in Oregon City for 42 years.

The couple is dedicated to serving others in the community and volunteer for many charitable organizations in Canby like, the American Legion Post #122, the Adult Center, and the Kiwanis Club. In addition, they annually cater the luncheon for the Rose Festival Court at the V.A. hospital. Suzy and her granddaughter spend quality time while making quilts for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Suzy’s strives to fill the day to day needs of those around her while Chuck works behind the scenes taking care of all the details.

Together, they make a fantastic team that General Canby Day is proud to honor as the 2010 King and Queen.
